Hi. What are the soil recommendations for for a mugo pine and an azalea please?
Also, which is the best way to water? Is it from the top or put tree in a container and soak from the bottom up? Many thanks

Mugo: free draining, coarse(r) modern inorganic substrates like pumice, lavarock, shale, etc.
Azalea: more organic, less free draining but still easy draining, more acidic soil.

There are threads called the soil wars in this forum and they describe just about everything about soils.

The way of watering doesn't matter a lot as long as you give enough and at the right times.
