This pine was from Andy Smith. I picked it up a couple years ago.

The challenge I see in styling this tree is the right trunk, which has a “V” near the base. The right part of this junction has nice movement, the left side is very straight and moves backward, away from the front. It is also very close to the same thickness as the right portion.

I see a couple options ...

1. Incorporate all three “trunks” into a cohesive design, trying to hide the straightness.

2. Make the left part of the “V” trunk a jin.

Here are a few photos. The photo with the towel shows option 2.

Thoughts?

Neat little tree. Although your points about the middle trunk make sense, I think removal of this middle trunk would result in an odd looking double trunk. If removed, it would seem to me you'd need to bend one or both of the remaining right and left trunks to being some harmony to their relationship. What about removal of the right trunk? I think the left and middle trunks have a more compatible, better looking relationship than the left and right trunks.

It looks like the trunk on the right is the thickest?

If so, I would tilt the tree to the left so that the tree on the right is pretty much vertical. Doing that makes the trunk on the left almost a cascade branch.

Well chosen front. From that angle straightness of center trunk is deemphasized. Agree 3 trunks makes potential amazing tree. Three also will make base of trunk bigger faster. Was this Burlap Bonanza tree 2014? Seems like tree I was beaten to that year or 2016;). What was estimated age? Seems very happy healthy tree.

I actually like picture 1.
Take the middle trunk out and go for something like this.

I like Adair's idea, tilting it to the left, three trunks, three levels (storeys, or more) of foliage. It can give it nice movement and flow.

I love the feedback - thanks!

For the “keep the straight trunk” group, what about this as a curveball?

Th attached tree was a Ryan Neil creation. Something like that might be interesting.
