Wired out this Ponderosa pine yamadori cascade today. Once I get it into a more appropriate pot I plan on pulling the cascade further down and possibly closer to the trunk.

Here's the Tokoname Sanpo pot I will most likely move it into eventually.

I’m pretty pumped about this one which is a similar size collected this fall & hope it does well over winter.

This pondy got potted up today, 14"x5 1/2" Tokoname, Yamaaki kiln pot. Only removed one chunk of fat root, picked out maybe 2 inches of the shin, and potted it up this evening. Wasnt sure if I was going to like the tree in this pot, but I absolutely love it in this pot.

Great tree. Be aware it will be years for trunk wire to take a set. Great trunk and branch styling so far🥰

This should be rewired, good trunk but foliage is not clearly defined for your wire and position . That one straight of lowest foliage section can be cut off imo you. Can compress the foliage better

Yeah, next year it'll get rewired, not rushing this one.

Yeah, gonna take a long time for sure on that bend.

Badass man! I'm getting the itch to get a funky pondo, and this is a great example of what I'd be looking for.

In my teacher's garden, we repotted a similarly lateral pondo this spring--I would be happy to DM you some photos.

Also, nice ride! I love mine, even though I've since replaced it for bonsai purposes with a van.
