It Get's Around
Originally this was an Andy Smith collected tree. He traded/sold it to Sara Rayner who had it for a number of years. A year ago I bought it from Sara along with a bunch of pots.
I have several thoughts of refinements I might do, but this is my first Rocky Mountain Juniper. I just want to get a feel for how it grows. Do some trimming to see how it responds and we'll go from there.
As I gather a few ancient trees from people I am beginning to sense this responsibility of being a caretaker. I want to honor the people who have taken care of it prior to me. I want to pass it onto to someone else who will take care enough to propel it forward.
The photo was taken on the east side of my garage after the sun was beyond the point of messing with the photo. Lot's of good light with non of it direct. That's really important when taking pictures with deadwood on the tree. The white tends to get overexposed and no photoshop is going to fix it.
