In my early days of bonsai I found a small Pinus sylvestris with a nice trunk movement in the lower part. Everything above 20 cm was straight an I removed the top and built a new crown with a small sidebranch. Within the next 20 years the Tree became quite mature but the Foliage became optically too heavy for the trunk. A few weeks ago I decided to restyle the tree by removing some of the branches.
