I don't claim to understand pine. I'm taking steps when guidance is offered. Jonas understood the material he sent me. So I defer to him to take it slower. We had to get this tree strong and healthy before working. Yet, even still...I didn't go crazy on needle selection/thinning. This tree came weak. I'll baby it...and try my best to move it forward with guidance on just how far to push.
Studying Boon's notes Adair gave me on how to develop pads. You have to lay things flat. To build on...
But as well Adair has been a huge help ...where I am confused to clear that foggy misunderstanding. So fortunate...to have him in my corner.

They are actually posted here as well. So I don't see why not. That said...Adair's explanation would be lacking for me to share. If you did a search under his name and Boon notes. Or...I can attach a link truthfully...his words help the understanding I need to do morning chores let me know if you can't find them.
But what we spoke on at length...he touched on in the forum here. I clearly think his post is most valuable in our archives.

Finally...found that Bigei pot Adair felt would do this tree justice. I had put the task to Matt O...and he's a busy man.
Felt worth putting feelers out. In a matter of hours I had found one that fit my specifications.
