The amanita is thriving.

It has coated roots increasing their surface area and uptake ability (among other things).

Some root mass was removed to accommodate the new pot. I tried to keep mycelium intact.

The new pot was a gift.

If the tree continues to push new buds, in late winter I may trim back some of the longer branches up top to narrow the canopy.

General update for all firs collected winter ‘23-June ‘24…..
Late September ‘24: strong trees were moved from partial sun into mostly full sun to help facilitate bud formation and retain needles. These trees have recovered and display very strong roots systems (visible underneath pots).
