Purchased February 2025 Auckland Aotearoa New Zealand.
Quick slip pot done to arrest roots wrapping around original pot.
Light trim of top 3rd to start letting light into interior.
Will take to club night this week and to private workshop with an expert in March 2025.
Will post update as/when things happen.

Yesterday did another round of foliage reduction on the new Norway spruce
Plan to take to a workshop so don't want to spend time there doing work that could be done at home. Want a rough plan when I get there.
For me a first encounter of the need to develop the top to match the established decent structure of the bottom.

Usually find its the other way around.

Alternatively could do a big shari and concentrate on the good branches on the lower two thirds.

Perhaps leave that decision for the workshop.

May try to keep with typical mature form for the species so compacting branches overall may be the priority.
