This is our second to last week on this job, and today I had some free time waiting on materials (supposed to be there at 8 AM, arrived at 2:30/3 PM). So, I wandered around in the brush near what I believe to be a Norway spruce. I found a 12-18 young trees growing, so I got out the shovel and pots. Here is my haul from this evening. I might do more exploring/digging tomorrow if time allows. F651E179-609E-42CB-88D4-E6C1A9ACA05C.jpeg

These are some of the adult trees.C50E8825-26A0-4E4C-9775-D666904AB934.jpeg2E9330D1-6EEA-4B96-BDFE-1CD49FD73012.jpeg

Nice seedlings
Yeah those look like Picea abies to me
The best way to tell is by the cones, I provided an image of what they look like below

We should be back next week to handle some change orders. I’ll see if I can spot some cones. I found ten more of the younglings I can harvest as well…
