Sounds like it's begging to be dug up and potted in an upside down mower deck Nick Lenz style.

Well I dug it up and found the root ball cracked in half. It was quite a shame because I had worked it to a beautiful nebari. I now instead have 8 root cuttings that I hope will grow.

Definatly not what you expected digging it up, but 100$ all of them will sprout!
