Nice fall color on my larch

Some nice fall color on my Russian larch this year. This one is about 16 inches tall.

Yes but I usually cut them off. I might leave one on.

Russian larch or Siberian larch. Larix Sibirica.

Nice! That looks awesome! I want to get a Larch, they look so cool. Hoping to collect one this spring in Eastern WA when I get my transplant permit, otherwise I'm going to buy a few.

This was a $3 nursery tree. Tamarack is basically the same thing and grows in New York. You could collect one for free.

I have a Tamarack from the Adirondack Mts. But ID like to try the euro/Asian species as I think they readily produce the pretty cones . Was it some nursery you ordered it from??

No I just found it one day walking through a nursery. I think it might be grown by Iseli Nursery
