I'm a pretty intelligent and friendly person.. my brain just gets in my way sometimes..
I'm an amazing overthinker. My patient wife has been such an incredible blessing in my life. 25 years of marriage has taught me a lot about myself and my (lack of) communication skills. I've learned a lot about tactful language - how to get my point across kindly and directly at the same time. But it certainly didn't come easy or naturally. If I can get over my stubbornness and figure things out, anyone can.

Since you opened up, I assume it's cool to share this.

Much of the time it's just a safe place on the forum to just vent, but the rest of the time it's a support network.

I would really love a bit of patience from the community, :) , but I understand that I rub people the wrong way and that it's not always possible.
Uhhh, no. You don't get special consideration and shouldn't ask. If you had no hands and had to plant things with your teeth then maybe.
People are amazingly patient and understand occasional issues and differences of opinion from ALL here, disability or not.

First impressions are fickle. Second chances are more reliable.
As noobs, it feels we have been afforded the memories of the tenured members. That is, I think most of them remember starting out asking questions that are now things they don't even have to think about. And that is why most of them are so patient with us.

I appreciate that you shared it with me. I'm not really used to having people to talk to, so I'll keep it in mind. 🙂
