The twisted trunk is happy with its yellow robe this afternoon.


I will bring these upper branches down to fill up the negative spaces between the apex and central parts of the tree when it has no more leaves .

This time of the year is the best time to have detailed work on pomegranate in my area. I will gradually post the trees after finishing the work.

I have a huge, old and gnarly (think Halloween tree) one that I acquired last winter and it didn't flower or fruit for me at all last year, hopefully it will this year.

Embarrassing to admit, but mine was about to bloom last September when we went on vacation, so I brought it with me so I wouldn't miss the flowers opening. My husband still gives me shit about that.

Hahahahaha...Youre crazyyyy, but more than once last year I thought about bringing one of my shohin with me to my boat me since we overnight and fish a lot on the Chesapeake Bay in the summer time...Now I dont feel so crazy anymore...lol.

This one is still needed a lot of works. I pruned and wired it yesterday.

I will open it up more in the near future


I will also open the wall of the lowest cavity the way into the hollow trunk


I think it will become very nice one later on. It will imitate Phong Nha caves in Vietnam.

These were from the old houses when they were demolished.

Most of them are flowering type pomegranates, no fruit at all. One has fruit but I can not keep too many fruits! It is very sour! . However I have one big landscaping pomegranate tree which gives me a lot of sweet seedless fruits yearly.
