My H.L. FAT dwarf pomegranate

Wanted to put down my experience thus far with the @HorseloverFat punica I got from him last April.



First, the plant was thoughtfully packed. very nice!

Even though, a lot of the soil had escaped and the plant was fairly loose in the pot.


I decided to wire it in to a different pot.
It struggled a bit After that. Fast forward to currently.

I plan on letting it rip for awhile and up potting it when necessary.

I love it. Thanks HL FAT.

Yeah, shipping definitely has some tricks to it!

This one didn’t seem too happy over winter.

It has some leaf discoloration and it’s very leggy. It has started to grow In the greenhouse, putting on long shoots.

What do you think? Should I prune it or just let it run?

Gaining some vigor, even after a squirrel knocked it off the bench. Leaves are very lush and healthy! @HorseloverFat come back!

Leaves have dropped. I’m not sure when I should chop the sacrifice top

Where do you overwinter your pomegranate? You let it go dormant obviously.....cold frame?

Yes. I have a cold frame in the garage that gets light and some warmth from a heater on thermostat . I try to keep it around 36°.
