After the reno of the wind house and benches the old benches and arch/gate structure went away, it's so much cleaner now up the yard.

My garden has been maturing well and coming into its own. Each year I’ve tackled another bit of it making it a nice oasis after 3 years.

Having seen your Yatsubusa elm in person now, I'm somewhat surprised you've got it on such a high monkey pole. Is there a particular reason for that? I'd have expected a shorter pole to get it closer to eye level, not that this tree will ever really be eye level

I recently moved into a new house and just getting started. Let's see how long it takes to establish a garden.

There was a wild pokeberry here which I've kept and lots of Crepe Myrtle. Can I bonsai these after I uproot them?

Going to DIY everything from seed or cuttings I find.

Ryan, the monkey pole is actually table high at around 30" high. So it's definitely at eye level.
