Hello All,

I'm brand new here and this is my first post.
Just thought I'd post some pics of a yamadori that I collected Last summer. It's a Russian Olive (Elaeagnus angustifolia) that popped up in my yard. Probably only a few years old and in training for less than a year. Not a common bonsai species at all. It's very invasive in my area, which is what actually got me interested in it.

Anyway, any comments would be appreciated. I'm very new to bonsai.
I'm not sure where the front should be, but I don't mind the front here.

Cheers!01.jpeg02.jpeg03.jpeg04.jpeg

Invasive species are generally tough so a great choice to start with. Much greater chance of success. Also low cost.

Location is very important in deciding when to do things to bonsai but that timing varies depending on where you are in the world. It helps all of us if you add a location to your personal profile then we can see your particular climate at a glance.

Thanks. I've added my location to my profile.

I like it. I think it would look better if you shortened the jins tho. they are a bit too out there IMO.
