Not sure how helpful it was to over estimate the value of the trees then say it on the news for everyone to hear haha. But, at least some folks will get their trees back

At the same time, listening to non-bonsai people talk about bonsai always makes me wince

Over-estimate is an understatement. Wild over-estimate is an understatement. It invites the attention of people who steal for a living.
