I formed my scots pine yamadori earlier this week and i noticed today that on some branches i went a bit overboard and the branches were partially torn.
Because i was heavily shaping the entire tree, my wiring became loose in some spots, creating weak points.

The whole tree is wired and will stay wired untill early summer (probably) so the branches will stay pretty fixated during the growing season.

Will these wounds heal over or will the branches likely die off? It's my first time working with any pine species.

They'll heal, but they'll stay weak spots for a couple years. After that they'll probably produce a little swelling, nothing problematic.

The left branch on the last picture might succumb, but it's a 50/50. Could just as well pull through.

this time of year normally coniferous trees can take a lot of mishandling.
Next time, pay better attention to your wiring and bending. These crack are very preventable when properly appied wire is used. Fast is not always better, I know from experience.
