These can be good shohin.Beside the honking triple trunk, yesterday I also collected 3 interesting ones. Smaller 1.5 - 2 inch trunk. They have lots of movement.

The twin trunk is actually formed by 2 fused trees at the base. Since the root base has fused solid, it will be kept a twin trunk. I think I may put a wedge in between and slowly force a spread between the two trunk.Collected a twin trunk and a clump today. They may be interesting.

Yes, but I don't think you need to obtain much of a spread between them...I guess it depends some on what angle the base looks best at.The twin trunk is actually formed by 2 fused trees at the base. I am open to all suggestions. Some of these are admittedly uninteresting now. I collected them simply to save them from being shredded. I am looking for ways to develop them for sure. Right now I am keeping them alive and healthy so they will survive whatever I'll do to them. You have many of these, many with uninteresting trunks, I would certainly look at getting creative with placing 2 or 3 trunks together to make twin and triple trunks, its a way to make someing more interesting and substantial out of poor material. like the one at the top of the thread for example I would have tied them closer together.
Looking betterA very big one that was heavily damaged by hurricanes. It was nearly dead when collected 6 months ago. It is finally showing some sign of life. I hope this winter won’t kill it. It is so weak now for sure.
