Gotcha thanks for the heads up with that!I cant help with clones and all that, but I can keep you from getting trapped in the “japan climate” box because I also made that mistake.

While I am waiting for my equipment to arrive I am doing a little experiment with a hardwood wisteria cutting in water with the KLN dyno-grow. There seems to be a hazy aura in the water around the stem at the cut marks. Is this part of the plants process at making roots before callousing?if u are curious...I am getting callousing at 5 days.
Not really sure. After I seen callousing,I squirted a very concentrated mixture of humic and Fulvic acids W/ kelp onto the stem with a dropper and then root nubs look to be forming.I may put a more dilute mixture at start next batch....actually recommended from whom I learnt hydro. While I am waiting for my equipment to arrive I am doing a little experiment with a hardwood wisteria cutting in water with the KLN dyno-grow. Im not sure...it apparently blows air into the cloner and under the cloner.Cool thanks for the info I will check it out! Does the new cloner with the dome you got have just one fan blowing in, or is there also an exhaust fan?
I really enjoy reading these kinds of posts. The scientific aspect is fascinating.Ok ,so I have an aeroponic cloner...King clone.
I never had much luck although I did see callous on hard to root varieties.
So I watched my Harley Smith video and he seems to incline towards a really non fussy approach concerning the water in the cloner...it being a diluted mix of humic, fulvic, and kelp.A more organic approach.
I decided no to do the organic thing ,so no buildup in my clone like cloged tips and such.
I looked at an article online about aeroponic cloner secrets. They state that a low ec of nutrients increases rooting time and bulk. And also rooting hormones. And also using a solution cleaner throughout process so you can run higher temps and keep the pump on 24/7.I read alot of people putting the pumps on cycle timers, but this author states better succes with higher temps. The pump will heat the water so be careful.
I used some zelkova from a couple of my ugly duckling trees, but good qualities non-the-less with very short internodes and good health. They have excellent vascular systems and are very high brix.
I never really over fed,but in future I will feed motherplant formulas.
I want this to work because humidity shock is a real set back when bringing out of a propogator, eapecially finiky species.
I also like the idea if propogating select ,very good performing trees to develop and sell as I have a small business.Good growers use seed and cuttings and choose overachieving specimins to propogate...as which I do have a few that are performing pheonominally!!
I feel good about this as a good vascular system helps consideralbly with cuttings. These have much increased calcium uptake theough use of L Glycine and L Glutamic Amino acids. If not thousands of times more than your average plant.
The author also advocates running t5 lights much closer to canopy of cuttings ...even a 4-8 light fixture.I am using 3.

Advanced Aeroponic Cloning -- THE SECRETS!
In my article the The 3 Main Reasons Cloners Fail I cover those issues that cause cloning failure and help you gain predictable results. This article is about methods for producing the unbelievable clones you see PermaClone customers rep'ing on Social Media! This article is about those methods...www.permaclone.com
Gotcha, I'm going to add a waterproof fan to the fogponics setup, your pic gave me a good idea where to put it, thank you for sharing. Those pics of your cuttings callousing are impressive!Im not sure...it apparently blows air into the cloner and under the cloner.
Yes.....24/7@cmeg1 how long are your lights on ? 24/7?
We shall see. Here is the new setup from the formula above. The Author of the video uses Clonex gel.I used dip & grow.Bummer the maple cuttings are pretty much falling apart, kind of expected. They are just too delicate. I see now why there's really no info on doing this vs grafting for maples. Even if these things did root these exotic subspecies might really struggle health wise, don't really want to put a plant through that. I see now why grafting is not only more productive but also in kindness to the plant to have a better life.
The wisteria and curled willow is seriously loving the fogponics though. Those wisteria hard cuttings are already producing green buds
