This is a mame Japanese Black Pine I bought at Nationals this year.

Extremely short needles on this one!

Plan is to document progress in this thread.

Worked on Needle plucking and bud selection today. Here is the front before:

Looks good, the needle density seems a bit heavy it the top part of the tree compared to your lowest left branch(front view)

For sure. My plan is to wire that right side branch down, and wire one of the upper branches to that side as well. I positioned them around and it looks much better, just didn't get a chance to wire it yet.
