Masterpiece
I bought this as a size 1 bare root tree from Evergreen Plant Nursery. Last year it did flower profusely after being cut back, This year I don't expect too many flowers as I had to cut it back when we moved into the apartment as I have limited space in the balcony for my trees. I did left a few long shoots, so hopefully we will have a few dark fire engine red flowers.
This is the tree now on a 2 gal Rootpouch. The trunk does flare more under the soil, leaving it burried to allow a few more roots to develop near the base to increase it more.
