I have the 750PL that is slightly smaller than the 1000, with the same size holes. The only problem is that there is too much volume of water, and when you adjust the flow it becomes a solid heavy stream. The other option is the 480PL/AL but this one is hard to find, and when you do the price is almost double of the 750PL. I still use the 750 for large trees when hand watering. I find that it wastes too much water when used for smaller trees. For those I have the Joshua Roth wand, this one serves as double duty... when I find anything that shouldn't be in the tree I can use it with the water valve fully open and it has enough pressure to wash anything away from the tree. Also great for bare rooting trees with out messing up the roots.
@Jeramiah at Sumo Bonsai has the best price for the Joshua Roth wand. I seen some places advertise a lower price, but I rather pay a little more and support a member of the community.
