Larch skin graft

In August 2021 I bought a couple larches for 2 euros a piece.
To get some directionality, I cut back to the first branch. To hide the cut site a little, a skin graft was performed on the wound.
A patch from the trunk was cut to size and wrapped into place with parafilm tape.

This is the result after 6 months. Not sure if it was succesful, but it sure is an interesting technique.
I'm going to leave the tape off and applied some cut paste (not pictured).
