Recently someone I know came across a klinki pine, and it perked my interest being a not so common pine. From the limited research I've been able to do it is indigenous to Papua New Guinea and is considered endangered due to deforestation. I'd love to propagate it some how to see what I could do with it, but there is very little info on that. I'm not sure if this is bonsai material, but if any one has grown this before I would appreciate any info they have

Aren't those needles huge? Well, we are bonsai-noobs we can do what we want  but if those needles are so long i would reconsider.

Number one thing to consider is it's tropical and you'll likely need to keep in a warm greenhouse part of the year. Aside from that consider using these as a larger tree where needle length won't be as big a deal as well as the general consideration that you can normally reduce needle length in pot culture.

You ever look at a klinki pine?

I'm assuming everyone knows it is NOT a pine?
