I have a couple 3-4 year old kishu cuttings with tips browning. I’ve treated for blight for about two months now but no improvement, if anything it’s getting worse. Browning tips are all over the plants. Doesn’t really look like blight when I google pictures.

Hate to lose these. Any thoughts?

I’m in San Diego, plants are in 90:10 perlite coir soil mix.

look into flouride toxicity it may be just the perlite + flouridated water

Your climate seems hot, so I'm going with spider mites.
Second maybe some root health related issue. Suffocation maybe.
Third, although we rarely, if ever, deal with fluoride issues, it could be that.

Thanks. It was repotted earlier this year so definitely not root bound. Soil drains well. Maybe I’ll try treating for spider mites.

It doesn't look like spider mites. Spider mites affect ALL of a portion of foliage. Not just the tips.

What are you doing to treat for tip blight?

Propiconazole (Bonide 148 infuse) for blight. I’ve sprayed 3 times every two weeks.

Was reading about spider mites and I don’t see any evidence of them.

If Propiconazole isn't stopping it, I'd try Thiophanate Methyl (Infuse Granular/Clearys 3336) or Mancozeb.

What are you feeding them? Are they getting calcium
Coir is very deficient in Ca as is perlite. If your water has little in it and not much is supplied in fertilizer, the result is root and leaf tip (youngest first) blackening and death.
