The Fukien Tea Tree that was given to me has a few small wire bites. But, as a store bought bonsai, it's trunk was given two 90% angles to make it look interesting or something.. lolP
Probably not...
Here is its patent and the wire mark is from where it was the 5th of what it is now in thickness.
There are probably ways to disguise it, but not at this point.

To my understanding, severe wire bite will smooth over time, but will show evidence of the scar for a long, long time. The Fukien Tea Tree that was given to me has a few small wire bites. Anyway, I've had it for several years now and the bites look like they're there to stay. Oh well, could be worse.
Sure. Let me take some pics. I'll gladly trade.Kate, any chance you have some spare cuttings from any of your tiger barks or could take a few? I'd like to add one to my collection.
I can give you some $$ or trade something maybe?![]()
Agree, I see on this one where the groves from wire already filled in and flush with the branch, but the spiral pattern on the bark is still there. To my understanding, severe wire bite will smooth over time, but will show evidence of the scar for a long, long time.
Some rough barked or cork barked species do very well at vanishing these scars.
So, species dependant.
