Reported it today. What happens happens...
It was very rootbound, had two plants in the pot and I though I wouldn't be able to separate them. Also had some root loops. Trimmed them like two trees eccidentally growing too close to each other interfering and competing, but when I sawed the bottom part of roots off they almost fell apart. Too late...
So here it is.

Sprint update. DEAD. Did well in summer, did not make it through the winter. Guessing g not enough protection and too dry...
A little investigation shows nice fibrous roots after repot last spring.
Looks like it was the winter desiccation that killed it...
Decided to repot it.
Not sure it was a right decision...
Wow, not sure it's going to make it. Talk about spiraling roots... This one had one giant snail root. Did not think I could cut it off at this point, but it made me change the planting angle from upright to slanted to keep that root level with the soil line.
On this one I got a bit too close to the new leader while peeling bark and it dried up. Raised the top branch instead.
Scared to touch my other two. They are doing well after initial wiring and popping buds all over.
This one did not skip a beat after repot.
Cut downward branchleys and inched a little.
