rockpic.jpg Since everyone is posting their garden construction plans, here's one of my small improvements.

I rehabbed a karensansui (Zen) garden in my backyard. I pulled up four pavers and dug out the pit for the rocks. I had put some crushed granite in too, but it was being used by the local cats as a litte box, so it was removed.

Cleaned it up last week and planted some dwarf irises a friend gave me. The rocks were stolen from the Blue Ridge Mountain ski resort I used to be a regular at waaaay back when. The resort shall remain nameless so I can avoid prosecution--although I'm sure the statute of limitations has run out on parking lot rock theft.

We were at Little Caesars yesterday....
Waiting for a pizza outside....

And my daughter went in crying and stole a Stawberry Crush!

I think grandma ended up paying for it....
Maybe not!

Nice rocks!

If anyone's interested the rocks are Cotocotin greenstone-originally volcanic basalt--everyone thinks the blue Ridge are made of limestone. They're not.
