Hi all,

The below are some close ups of a Chinse Juniper I've had for a few years. Over the last two weeks, parts of the tree have started to yellow at the tips and indeed some foliage is browning off and dying.

There are other parts (see last image) that are growing healthily and extending out, it seems to be happening in sections e.g. some pats of the tree fine, others yellowing. Any idea what might be causing it?

Some context
- I'm based in London, UK
- It gets sun until about 5pm (albeit sun is often limited in London)
- It was repotted this spring, has been doing fine until last few weeks
- I haven't done any other work (e.g. wiring, thinning etc) to it this year, it's just been left to grow

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Isa

If you haven't pinched/pulled this plant, square-like ends on juniper branches are usually female flower structures. When those die, they take a couple millimeters of shoot tip with them.
See how it progresses first, it could be a one time thing caused by some event; heat, lack of water, too much water.
Because it's localized and not the whole plant, I think there's no cause for serious concern.

Hello, it looks healthy to me.
Wait to see if the yellowing progresses or stops.
