So I bought this yatsabusa elm from judy last year. I combed out the roots and planted it on a tile. Coming along rather nicely. Unfortunately I'm going to have to dig it up as I'm probably moving this year.downloadfile-3.jpg downloadfile.jpg

Did it just consume the rock?

Judy hope not. Looks like we are going to move from the small home we are in with acreage to a larger house with a smaller lot. Prob have to dig it up in the fall. Last year it barely lost all of its leaves fl during winter.

still...that's pretty good.

now that i have a yard (finally!) I am planning on putting many of my trees in the ground. been a long time coming! I started ~8 years ago in an apartment.

one or two of my elms need at least a bigger pot for health reasons...so why not drop them in the ground, let em get strong, and make em 10x better than they were before in a couple of years

Not even done yet. This guy didn't lose all its leaves until January last year

You like my use of a stick laying around nearby to set the shoot in the direction i wanted it? Haha

Love it!

Thought it may have just been a marker.

I'm totally with you!
Got about 20 sticks in.place right.now!
