JoB's Celtis Sinensis - #1

20 Sinensis arrived a couple of days ago , so soaked and now outside. Hoping that it stays cold for a while as no chance in my house putting seeds in the fridge right side are JRP

I found 10 more seeds which I had forgotten about. It is definately too late here for enough cold weather, so I ran them over some sandpaper and threw them in some vermiculite...lets see if they do anything
Ended up with 9 as I was a bit rough with one of them

@JoB Celtis Sinensis grow like weeds here in South Africa where our winters only get down to -5°C (where I live in Johannesburg), so I’m sure these late seeds will do just fine with limited cold

nothing growing yet, except JRP...those are growing very well

How strange, I had 30 to 40% of success with scarification. They sprouted as early as 3 weeks after planting and as late as 2 month later tho, so there's still hope.
A couple of them sprouted because I dug up the seeds and I gently opened the coating. They should be quiet soggy by now, so it should be easy to do.
