JBP Fertilisation after decandeling

Good day fellow bonsai enthusiasts, I decandled my JBP bonsai on 25th of December 2025. It’s been almost 7 weeks here in Melbourne, Australia. Currently towards the end of Summer. I stopped fertilising when the bonsai was decandeled. Should I resume fertilisation now? It’s my first time doing decandeling work on a JBP and any help would be greatly appreciated. @Shibui @Ryceman3

We normally don't start fertiliser again until the new buds have opened up fully. Early application of fert risks having those new buds getting too big with longer needles. Maybe hold off until the end of this month?
Having said that, I think I'm going to have to fertilise some of mine sooner because the new buds just are not developing well enough. I suspect my winter/Spring fertiliser was inadequate so the trees do not have enough stores to maintain health and generate good new shoots.
