Japanese boxwood

Just picked a boxwood from local nursery has roots growing out the bottom of pot.
Wondering if to late in year to repot or if it can be successful if done now
Had to cut roots growing into ground to take home but looking for any help.

It is one of the most forgiving plants to root prune. Chances are I would do it if everything looked right and it "felt" right. I would not try to diagnose a tree I could not see however. Let the others chime in.
