Jacaranda bonsai

Yeah the one I dug up was actually planted on top of a weed mat by the previous people. It created a good spread and strong bulge flare because of that. That says to me they will respond well when planted on a tile. Maybe do that in a big container or even colander.. or in the ground.

Awesome i will.give that a go.

It's just a pet peeve. I think common names are totally useless.

Especially when the same common name can refer to more than one species in different genera. That annoys me most.
I especially love online sites that label stuff like: Ulmus sp. ? Or how about this one: Pinus something or other... :)

20160921_172752.jpg 20160921_172722.jpg I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is going on with the branches of some jacaranda seedlings? I noticed these growths on a couple branches, and wasn't able to find any info online. Any help would be appreciated, as this is a totally foreign tree to me.

These are very beautiful as full grown trees but aren't suitable for bonsai as the compound leaves don't reduce.
The flowers are a gorgeous purple and they profusely bloom.
They are planted outside EPCOT at Disney World and I enjoy their beauty when I visit.
They are considered an invasive species so be careful and check your local laws.

Exactly same can be said about Wisteria:eek:. But how many Wisteria Bonsai are there?
