Is anyone else getting obscure pop-ups about a virus?

@Bonsai Nut ,
The original problem was fixed... But now, this Hillary ad thing at the bottom of the page is causing issues for me. Every time I load a page, it brings me to the bottom of the page (to the ad) like I clicked in the address box or something. Super annoying, then I have to scroll back to where I should have been.

Am I the only one having this issue?

I haven't seen this ad. Is there any way you can get a screenshot? Or else mouse over the ad and get the URL. Not the WHOLE URL which will be a long string of numbers and characters... there will be two addresses in the string. The first is the ad server (for example "pixel.mathtag.com/") and the second will be the ad itself ("redirect=http://www.eddiebauer.com").

Whoops forgot to post it, heres a screenshot:

I'm getting pop-ups on many of the topics I try to open.
Written in poor English and with no "out" other than to open new screen and close the original.
Very disturbing and it uses the official Google logo.
But it directs you to Google Play and wants you to install an app.
In COVID times I thought this was a joke until I saw the date this was posted.

simply another reason not to have a smart phone......
we dont really need them for anything....believe me, you can have same good life or even better.....
try it......

I no longer control what ads Google serves you. In fact, I don't even know what ads Google serves you :) However even Google isn't flawless, and sometimes they will serve a bad ad - either linking you to a redirect web site, or serving a fake virus pop-up. It usually gets caught very quickly, and Google will block the ad account. I don't see them very often any more... in fact it has probably been more than a year since I've seen one (on this or any other site).

That said... this is the holiday season, and if you see a nice ad, it always helps the site if you support the advertisers. They pay a lot of money to reach you guys on this site, and hopefully the ads are targeted to something you want to buy!

I can't click on the ads myself, but every now and then I see a good ad, and I end up leaving the site and doing a Google search on the ad so that I can go buy whatever they were advertising to me! Just today I saw a really nice wallet ad here. I didn't have a wallet on my Christmas list... until now :)
