Inventory Reduction Sale & Penny Start Auctions

A couple of these tridents are at $1.25 with about 12 hours to go. The pots they are in are worth 4 times that amount.
These are nice starter trees, not seedlings, and an incredible deal at the moment. Someone is getting a steal.

Maybe it's because of shipping? Says $18 for me, can't think of any other reason they wouldn't sell.

So, I've dug here. Don, reading about your offers (Chojubai) in other thread and here about the eBay selling...would it be possible to have some chojubai sent to EU?

I'm not sure why eBay calculates shipping cost as it does. That's based on a 6"x6"x20" box and 4 pound gross weight. Many times I pay more than eBay calculates. Plus, I pay PayPal and eBay fees on the shipping cost money paid. How stupid is that? And, on top of that, the eBay shipping fee does not include the cost of the box and packing materials. Add in the time it takes to prepare the tree and pack it, and it makes no sense to sell. Honestly, its time and money lost for me.

Which is why it's always helpful for the seller and the buyer to use the question function on ebay to calculate the fees for each item. And also to see if it is better for both parties to do the deal ( only with reputable dealers) outside of ebay.

Yep. I bookmarked Don's eBay page years ago, but have contacted him directly for every purchase after the first. He's always been great to work with, and I'm all for doing what I can to make the deal more equitable for both of us.
Got a few pots guys in that category too...

Exactly! All contributing reasons to why I quit selling stuff on EBay a couple years ago! I was selling stuff left over from our baby after she grew out of it- amazing how much clothes she had that was never really used at all! Toys, old collectibles... I actually LOST money on a deal once because it went cheap and ebay's shipping was so off... After fees from both eBay and pay pal, it is tough to make anything! And you are competing with people in China who must be getting paid TO ship stuff somehow... I see people selling stuff on there $.99 BIN with FREE shipping!!?? What? How is anyone making money doing that? Blows my Mind... Facebook is the way to go for selling trees. No site fees, just pay pal fees IF they dont pay you using "friends and family".... You quote shipping to the person's address after they buy so you know they are paying the right amount... I think it a better set up.
