perhaps it was the wet and cold, we do not get much snow to insulate roots, but we do get plenty of rain wet and cold is pretty lethal to many Bonsai the roots hate it, as does my 30 foot tree, foliage is dieing all over it now Autumn is here , and it is the same every year
