I switched from T5 to LED and now my greenhouse is seeing temps as high as 110

My (sealed co2 kit).

I vent cool (70f) dry air into the tent when it gets above 60 or 65% humidity and temperature always stays between 80f and 86f for the most part.

I vent air in because if I was to exhaust out the tank would literally last only a week …..a tank of CO2 so a $24 tank of CO2 will last me just about eight weeks this way.

This rises my electricity cost, but I get to run CO2 all the time and the growth is probably 70% faster.

I have an outdoor structure coming here in a couple weeks a 6 x 12 set up that I’m going to insulate eventually ,get a 4 x 12 or a 4 x 8 ebb&flow table ,but for now I’m just pitchin’ the grow tents inside it along with the air conditioner and dehumidifier.

I normally don't run the humidity up to 88% like it is now, but for me it is just a mater of opening the zipper door a bit more. My tent is around 75F.

I really enjoy growing like this.75-80 is good I understand without co2.
With co2 can do 80-84f a little warmer for certain trees like pines is ok………84 is th charm though.
When I put the tents in the outdoor structure they are getting placed on raised 2’x4’ tables…….enough of all this reaching into the tents to grab the daisy tray to soak in the ebb & flo tray already!!

Thank you to everyone for your input, an update for you all. I decided that a fully outfitted grow tent is a bit much for just overwintering my trees as well as my apartment so I returned it and got a mini greenhouse. I went with the spider farmer LED lights and an oscillating fan. With this setup my temps have been between 80 - 88 and the humidity is usually between 40 - 55. I've had this setup for about 10 days now and I'm very happy with it.

Those giant holes in the top of grow tents are 100,000% specifically for ventilation. Of course the use of said methods might require an adjustment in humidity, but in an enclosed box generally used to grow dope, it's push-pull. Find the balance, namaste.

Get the led driver out of the tent, that's where most of the heat is coming from. Can rewire them pretty easily to extend the cord length.

The po is not using the tent now, he is using one of those $39 zip up greenhouses which only offer a modicum of plant protection. It is not at all like a tent. I have had both but got rid of my mini zip up greenhouses. They are not tight and allow an abundance of air exchange and such simply by either closing, opening or part way opening the zippered front.
The light looks like a SF 600 but may be an SF 300. They have a long cord to the driver which can easily be placed several feet away.

Yes, this is one of those 40" wide mini greenhouses. I don't think I'm going to try a tent again until I have adequate space somewhere down the line.

I mean they offer very little protection when used as a greenhouse. I had one set up a few years back full of clivia. We had one good frost and all the plants were quite seriously damaged.

Ahh, yes I would never use one of these outdoors. Indoors I think they're perfect.

I found a useful addition to my setup, a tray for boots/sneakers, makes watering convenient as I don't have to keep shifting trees in and out.
