Wow thats great stuff. You don't see many unorthodox yet very high quality work in bonsai. Love it - bonsai could use more of that.

Yeah neat stuff. In my neck of the Woodside not uncommon to see a car,truck,tractor,farm or construction equipment or a shack with a tree or two growing up through them. So not completely whimsical it's real life around here

Nick's long time friend and tree collecting companion lives in Minnesota. David Crust used to be a member of BNut. His profile is no longer active. Crust has a few of Nick's Larch compositions, and Crust created quite a few unique creations of his own.

I saw it at the All state show in MI and thought it was inventive since I/we've all had one of those toy trucks at one point.
