Soil that sinks (doesn’t float) would be heavier than water...A full wine barrow is 600 pounds and that is wine so I guess does soil weigh more or less than .

That’s not accounting for space between particles. Most soil floats until saturated and air is removed so I’d say a bucket of water weighs more than a bucket of wet soil because some of the initially lighter soil would be displacing the heavier water. Depends on the soil though I suppose.Soil that sinks (doesn’t float) would be heavier than water...

A large portion of many typical garden soil mixes is sand. Sand doesn’t float. Which means it’s heavier than water. That’s not accounting for space between particles. Wine barrel capacity 230ish litres/ 60ish gallons, half full contents weighs 115kg/250lb
Answer, too heavy for me!
Yep. Dirt.Thread says “wet dirt”....
No mention of pumice/hyuga et all. lol.
That should have said diameter x 0.785 x heightWell a cubic foot of wet top soil is around 112 pounds. Multiply the diameter x diameter x height to get the cubic feet then multiply by 112. Roughly.....a cubic foot of water is about 62.5 pounds.
