The nebari certainly leaves something to be desired. It is now a solid clump of mostly fused crossing roots. As much as I’d like a proper spreading nebari, I likely won’t mess with it. Maybe one day if it bothers me enough And I feel brave.Awesome, I really like Hino Crimsons. Hinos were the azalea that first got me interested in learning more about azaleas. It’s been the spring azalea of choice out here. Really tough, small leaves and blooms spectacularly.
At some point you might want to consider developing the nebari further, including cleaning up the crossing roots situation. Or not, if you are good with it.
