I've started a ton of projects in the past 2 years and just haven't had time to share em all. This is one of my favorite trees with lots of potential. The tree had some issues in the summer so it's a bit weak right now. I'll be allowing it to grow unrestricted to build vigor before I do my major cut backs and begin primary branch development. I've neglected to document it in it's entirety but the last image is the second repotting after I severed the layer and grew it in a pond basket all of last season. More details and plans on my blog:

Nice work! I like where you’re going. Question....What are those red spikes (looks like spikes anyway) with a black cord attached?

Spot spitters! I'm physically unable to handwater all my trees so I use a wireless timer and an app on my phone!.

Thanks. Spot Spitters. Hmmmmmmm. I’m curious.
How far does a spot spitter spit? Okay, I know that sounds like an entry for a humorous reply. But I wonder how much coverage is actually achieved.

Assume you’re on WiFi somewhere in the world.
If you have a power outage would the cycle of watering return automatically when the power is back on? (Or do have to be right there with the App to reset)

The App interests me...but I have probably way to many questions.

I use a rachio unit. The spray is around 100 degrees or so and will extend fairly far, more than a foot. But you don't want all the water spraying everywhere so I keep them close to the trunk. If there is a power outage the timer still should work properly when the power is on. I think I've only had one outage since installation of the timer. Usually I do manual activation from my phone though as I try to base watering off the actual weather conditions.

This approach, where I have to make sure this isn't in the "selling" thread....
Click click...Damn DAMN!

Questionless work!

Impressive!

I agree with sorce here. I think really your best option with this tree would be to sell it.. to me.. the ride in a cardboard box would do a lot for the structure ;)

What I would love to know......

Why sell the Wicked wicked pine(did it sell yet)?

And not this?

I don't think I could part with either!

Seems BNUT in total, is gonna straight Pop in 2018!

I didn't sell it. I'm keeping all of my best trees unless I am forced to sell.
