Having a hard time with Hinoki Cypress styling

Do you happens to know if Hinoki respond well to grafting?

I'll have to let you know... LOL

Hinoki should accept grafts easier than junipers as far as I know. If the grafts fail, you could always do a chop.

That's good to hear. Can you only graft onto the branches or is it possible to graft onto the truck to add more branches

Both should be equally possible; a branch if just an extension of the trunk. Structurally they're the same.

Grafting new branches is nice idea. You could chop the tree anytime so why not to try grafts . I will to try it on my hinoki too.
