Funny story about a thing that I just now realized. So those photos of the big bougainvillea were from one of my trips to NEBG last year. I saw this plant a couple weeks back when I was at NEBG for a NEBA function with @RJG2 and the bougie was in a different pot. On my way out I noticed they had a sale table with extra large pots on it and that’s when I picked up the pot for the black pine that I posted back in post #11. Now I just noticed that the pot I purchased is the pot that the big bougie was in last year! (An $85 score I could not pass up)

And that appears to be a 24" pot. Imagine trying to move that by yourself.
It’s 34” and I’m the new owner of that pot so I guess i won’t have to imagine for long… (I’ll probably have the kid help me move it to be honest, not looking for a hernia!😅)

I have a 34 inch pot. 50 lbs empty. Full of soil and tree it’s over 200. It’s not really the weight really. It’s the bulk that makes it difficult to move You can’t get a great grip on the pot to support it and can’t shift it while you’ve got it in your hands It will also smash your fingers feet shins if you drop it as well as wrench your back if you lift it wrong or off center when trying to avoid bumping up against the tree inside it

That sounds like sooooo much fun.... 😆
