Tree was bare rooted and repotted into bonsai soil and a cheap 10" bonsai pot in spring 22 and was allowed to grow all spring and then cut back in early summer while leaving an apical shoot to elongate. I saw significant thickening in this tree in 22. Tree was treated the same way in 2023.

In 2024 the tree was repotted into a #8 Tokoname training pot. by 2024 a nice nebari had formed on the tree due to being in a shallow bonsai pot for 2 seasons. tree was allowed to elongate in spring and then cut back in summer like previous years but the apical leader was cut back to a smaller branch and new leader had movement applied with wire.

2025 tree was not repotted in spring. It was allowed to grow freely as in previous years and was cut back and repotted in early summer into a green Reiho rectangle.
