Ginkgo Chi Chi Nursery Stock

Hello Folks,

I picked up this Chi Chi at a local nursery today. The buds are just starting to open. Would it be ok to repot her in a plastic grow pot right now, or should I let her alone until next season?

If it hasn't turned to where you can see the twisting tips of foliage. It would be a go. Is it not draining well?

Mine is planted in Clay King...alternative would be Boon's mix per guidance of Scott Lee in which my ginkgo (chi chi as well) was purchased.


Good cultivar for the hobby! Amazing fall colors.

I just repotted my other Chi Chi (purchased from Scott Lee) however, I used Supperfly’s Conifer Professiona. Hope I didn’t screw up?

Again, alternative is Boon's mix. Which clearly is stated in SuperFly's description. You should be golden.
