Hello friends, not sure if this idea has been discussed yet but I’ve seen this idea online and thought I’d share. I like having a bit of grip and added thickness on my tools. Electrical Shrink Tubings is a perfect remedy. I recommend a 3 to 1 shrink ratio, this will add more thickness of actual rubber. After the heat has been applied, the rubber has a decent texture.

I do the same. I have come to realize that the rubber is not ight enough to stay n if you clean & oil your tools every once in a while. I little oil is enough to make the grips movable.

Possibly add a bit of double sided tape to the handles before you heat the heat shrink? That should prevent any slippage.

There is an adhesive inside the shrink tubing. I’m hoping the grips will stay in place. Time will tell.
