Apologies if this is the wrong forum for the question. My wife will be in Japan in November. We have a small garden that is home to all my bonsai and she is all in on working the garden around my little trees. Does anyone know of garden design stores in either the Tokyo or Kyoto area. She’s looking for things like rain chains, small stone decorations, fountain elements etc. I doubt she’ll want to haul a stone lantern back but you never know! I know we can find some of these items at bonsai nurseries but I’ m on strict lockdown for visiting too many nurseries this trip! :D

Thanks!

There is a flea market in the To-ji temple in Kyoto on the 21th of every month (dawn to sunset). It's very close to the Kyoto Station, I went last month and I think your wife will find that kind of elements and much more. I bought there this beautiful hand made pagoda...

There are some bonsai sellers as well ;) (also, 200 meters away there is a wonderful bonsai nurserie)

Thank you. I had forgotten about that flea market! I was there last year and it was great. I’ll have different eyes for it this time. Also visited the nursery. Wonderful trees there just can’t send any back— which borders on bonsai masochism.
