Hello all.
I bought this garden maple from a garden center last year.don't know the variety.
When i brought it home i chopped it hard.the only photos i took are attached here but i've already made the cuts..
It was about 1 meter in height and 1.8 meters in length.
I put it in a plastic pot for the winter because the roots were in bad condition in this big ceramic pot.
It was in pure compost with a lot of water and not proper air flowing.
Repotted in a small japanese pot 2 months ago and today is growing still..

Fwiw you did well with this. You should know that dissectum cultivars are not the best candidates for bonsai. They tend to turn crispy by late July August because their leaves are thin and the lacy leaves are exposed to more air. That means the leaves aren’t as durable as a “regular” variety of JM. Share in the afternoon and keep up with watering this summer
